Modules

To maximize efficiency and minimize cost, the Mail Archiving system is divided into four modules.

Mail Harvester

Each mail harvesting server can retrieve electronic mail for a large number of E-mail accounts, from a range of E-mail servers.  Depending on your needs and the number of accounts to be managed, from one through any number of Harvesting Servers can be connected to the Lava Vault to retrieve and archive electronic mail and attachments.

Mail Proxy Server

For those wishing to archive both incoming and outgoing Emails, the Mail Proxy Server allows all interaction between the user and the mail server to be monitored, and all Email traffic to be analyzed and captured.  This provides a truly comprehensive log of all electronic data entering and leaving your organization.

Mail Harvest Control

The administrative interface for all harvesting facilities allows detailed control and manipulation of all attributes, properties and servers relating to the harvesting of mail.

Mail Interface

The user interface to the mail archive in the Lava Vault allows listing of mail by user, by user groups, with optional date filtering.  Access control allows detailed configuration of user access to individual mail accounts or to groups of mail accounts.

Search facilities allow mail content and subjects to be searched for full-text content, delivering results across huge numbers of mail entries in seconds.
