Workflow
The Vault Application system includes a very powerful Workflow module. Fully integrated with the document features of the Lava Vault, the Workflow solution is capable of delivering or accepting documents across the Internet securely and reliably.
Workflow execution across the Internet is fully supported. Whether connected to the Vault server via a local area network, through the Internet via optical fibre or with a laptop using a 3G card, workflow interaction is identical and indistinguishable. Interaction is NOT through a browser interface - all interfaces are first-class windows application interfaces regardless of the type of connection. With the sole exception of extracting or inserting large documents across slow connections, the user experience is absolutely identical under all circumstances. Note that documents are NOT delivered to the user via e-mail - all document interaction is through the integrated and fully controlled Secure Mail system.
The designer is presented in a graphical free-format design environment which is fully groupware enabled, and operates both in a LAN environment and across the Internet, with no discernible difference. The designer is very easy to use (in fact quite intuitive) and allows rapid and efficient creation or modification of workflow templates.
The scheduler provides a comprehensive and very flexible means of starting workflows automatically at predetermined dates and times.
In order to provide the greatest efficiency and ease of use, a flexible menu configuration system allows specific workflows to be presented to chosen users in a simple click-to-launch environment
Workflow Operator System
Workflow operation is supported in a dedicated operator environment which automatically displays any workflow prompts, messages or documents pending for the user. Operation is so simple even untrained staff will have no problem performing allotted tasks.
