Secure Search

The Index and Search module provides facilities to index several types of documents automatically on insertion into the Lava Vault.

Indexing

The indexing function extracts all text from supported document types (including Acrobat PDF and Microsoft Office documents) and performs advanced indexing on content.

Search

Searching through all documents in the Lava Vault can typically be completed in less than a second, even with hundreds of thousands of documents stored in the Vault.

Document location is not only on exact match, but also includes two advanced sound-alike algorithms to increase the completeness of the located document list returned.

Wildcard searching is also supported, allowing a wider spread of hits.
